"In 1962 both my feet were smashed by a jet engine stand with a motor on it weighing about 6000 pounds. From then on, I had to have arch supports to hold my feet in the semblance of a foot. I couldn’t walk without my shoes on. There was a lot I couldn’t do.
The V.A. had me in a fiberglass form inside my shoes to hold my feet in position. I found that by buying certain boots found in Oregon I didn’t need the fiberglass prosthesis.
About ten years ago the bottom of my foot began to hurt so badly I just gritted my teeth and kept going. Finally I saw a podiatrist who had me scheduled for surgery to cut the bone in my foot, to relieve the pain at the ball. I asked him about the pain in the bottom of my foot. He said we just cut the nerve. Using an analogy, I asked, “If my oil light comes on - we just disconnect the wire and let the motor go as long as it will”? He didn’t seem to think it was as serious as that.
I heard about Dr. Christman from a friend, Peg, because he had helped her shoulder. I decided I had nothing to lose except some time. Dr. Christman set the bone manually and the first adjustment stopped the pain in the bottom of my foot. His adjustments broke loose joints that have been locked for over 10 years, taking away the pain and giving me back the use of my feet.
Now I can walk without wearing my shoes, and I don’t have to hold onto the wall to keep from falling when I’m not wearing my shoes.
I’m sold on this!"
